A native of Schererville, Indiana, Dr. Katharine Moles received her B.S. and O.D. degrees from Indiana University in Bloomington. She completed a hospital based residency in primary care optometry at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Danville, Illinois in 1994 and joined Gailmard Eye Center that same year. Dr. Moles completed clinical rotations at Omni Eye Services in Atlanta and Indianapolis Eye Care Center. She was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and was the recipient of the Sunsoft Award for Achievement in Contact Lenses. Dr. Moles co-authored a research paper titled "Corneal Molding Recovery After Contact Lens Wear". She is certified in the treatment of eye disease and she has completed post-graduate courses in retina, cornea, glaucoma, and laser vision correction. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and Indiana Optometric Association.

Dr. Michelle Millard is from Michigan City, Indiana. She earned her B.S. degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette in the field of medical technology and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Millard completed an externship in primary care optometry and ocular disease at Olympia Fields Osteopathic Hospital and joined Gailmard Eye Center in 1997. Dr. Millard is licensed to diagnose and treat diseases of the eye. She has completed numerous continuing medical education courses, including courses in laser vision correction. She has served as a clinical research investigator for several contact lens and solution manufacturers seeking FDA approval of new lens materials and designs. Dr. Millard is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Indiana Optometric Association, the Down Syndrome Association of Northwest Indiana, and the National Association for Down Syndrome.

Dr. Amanda Sprehe graduated from Crown Point High School, received her B.S. degree in biology from Purdue University Calumet and her O.D. degree from Indiana University School of Optometry, all with honors. She served as an associate instructor at IU, was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and completed clinical externships at Michiana Eye Center and Muncie Eye Center. While in optometry school, Dr. Sprehe received the Dean's Research Scholarship, Crown Point Lion's Club Scholarships and the Acuvue Contact Lens Award.

Dr. Sprehe helped develop the Pediatric Vision Clinic at Gailmard Eye Center, where she specializes in vision problems of children and vision therapy. Much of this work centers on disorders such as amblyopia, strabismus, binocular vision deficiencies, perceptual problems and learning disabilities. Dr. Sprehe is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, the Optometric Extension Program, and the Indiana and American Optometric Associations.

Dr. Susan Gailmard received her O.D. degree from Illinois College of Optometry after completing her undergraduate studies at Indiana University, Northwest campus. Born and raised in Gary, Indiana, Dr. Susan is a graduate of Andrean High School. She joined husband Neil in practice after completing her professional training in 1980, when their office was located in Harrison Ridge Square in Munster. Susan was instrumental in the location and design of the present eye center building, which was built in 1985, and the new optical wing that was added in 1992. The eye center received the Beautification Award from the Town of Munster in 1986.

Dr. Susan specializes in fitting contact lenses of all types and has served as a clinical investigator for contact lens research studies of new lens materials and care products. She is co-author of a book chapter in Specialty Contact Lenses, a medical textbook published by Saunders. Susan was voted Best Optometrist in the Calumet Region in a Times newspaper reader poll. Many patients still remember when Dr. Gailmard played herself in the role of an optometrist in a nationally acclaimed television commercial for McDonald's Restaurants, commemorating the company's 50-year anniversary.

Dr. Neil Gailmard, a Munster native, opened Gailmard Eye Center after receiving his B.S. and O.D. degrees from Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Gailmard is a visiitng lecturer for 2012 at the University of California at Berkeley, School of Optometry.  He served as a clinical professor at Illinois College of Optometry for 20 years, and as a Benedict Professor of Practice Management at University of Houston College of Optometry. He lectures frequently at national eye care conferences. Neil received the Presidential Medal of Honor and the Alumni Achievement Award from Illinois College of Optometry.

After receiving his MBA degree with distinction in 1998, Dr. Gailmard opened Gailmard Consulting, a practice management firm that assists eye doctors and the optical industry. Neil is President and COO of Prima Eye Group, a management services company for eye care professionals based in Atlanta, Georgia.

A well-known author in professional publications, Neil has served as an editor of Optometric Management and Review of Optometry magazines and has published over 200 journal articles and book chapters. He is currently editor of the Optometric Management Tip of the Week e-newsletter, which has a distribution of over 15,000 eye care professionals worldwide.  Dr. Gailmard's latest writing project is New O.D. on Facebook, a series of posts and blogs for optometry students and young optometrists.

Dr. Gailmard is a member of the American Optometric Association and created and chaired the AOA's award-winning Practice Management University program.  He is a charter faculty member for the Management and Business Academy, an educational conference series sponsored by CibaVision and Essilor for eye care professionals.  Neil is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
