Meet Dr. Suzanna Acosta - Optometric Team Near You
Dr. Suzanna Acosta was born and raised in Northwest Indiana. She attended Munster High School followed by Indiana University Northwest, where she completed her B.S. in Biology on a full merit scholarship. She completed her O.D. at Illinois College of Optometry, where she received a scholarship for underrepresented populations. Dr. Acosta completed clinical externships at the Tallahassee VA Outpatient Clinic, FL, Commonwealth Eye Surgery, KY, and Hoosier Eye Doctor, IN.
Her optometric interests include managing ocular disease including dry eye and glaucoma, contact lenses, and routine care for all ages. She strives to ensure that each patient leaves with a full understanding of their refractive and eye health. Dr. Acosta’s training and experience include 5 years of patient care in private practice settings, as well as extensive continuing education encompassing glaucoma, diabetes, retina, dry eye, and refractive and cataract surgery.
Dr. Acosta is fluent in Spanish. She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, discovering new restaurants and enjoying time outdoors.
Dr. Veronica Ralick is a 2004 graduate of Indiana University Optometry School. After graduation Dr. Ralick completed a year long residency program in primary care ocular disease at the Boston Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Massachusetts. Dr. Ralick has been practicing for over 18 years and specializes in comprehensive eye exams, glaucoma management, diagnosis of eye disease and dry eye. One of her favorites aspects of clinical practice is getting to know her patients and their families over the years.
When Dr. Ralick is not in clinic she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, reading, and playing pickle ball. Her kids are heavily involved in extracurricular activities around Northwest Indiana and she enjoys watching and cheering them and their teams.
Dr. Ralick is excited to be a part of Gailmard Eye Center and provide the best possible care to established patients as well as new patients.
