Meet the Eye Doctors at Gailmard Eye Center

Sanjana Dalal, O.D.

Dr. Sanjana Dalal is a dedicated and compassionate optometrist who earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry in 2025.

Her clinical training includes externship experiences at North Suburban Vision Consultants in Deerfield, IL, NYC Health + Hospitals/East New York in Brooklyn, NY, and Eye Centers of South Florida in Miami, FL. These rotations provided her with comprehensive experience in managing a wide range of ocular conditions in both private practice and hospital-based settings, as well as the opportunity to care for patients from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, thereby deepening her understanding of the social and cultural factors that influence eye health and access to care.

Dr. Dalal has a special interest in anterior segment conditions, with a particular focus on the diagnosis and management of keratoconus, as well as the fitting of specialty scleral contact lenses. Her passion for these complex diseases enables her to provide tailored, high-quality care to patients with unique visual needs.

Dr. Dalal is fluent in Gujarati, which enables her to communicate effectively with and serve a diverse patient community. She is passionate about providing personalized, patient-centered care and fostering strong relationships built on trust and education. Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Dalal enjoys playing tennis and spending time with family and friends.

Veronica Ralick, O.D.

Dr. Veronica Ralick earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University in 2004 and completed a residency in primary care ocular disease at the Boston Veterans Affairs Medical Center. With over 18 years of experience, she is dedicated to providing comprehensive eye exams, managing glaucoma, diagnosing various eye diseases, and treating dry eye. Her extensive background equips her to deliver top-notch care and build meaningful connections with her patients and their families.

Dr. Ralick specializes in delivering personalized eye care that addresses both common and complex conditions. She takes great pride in understanding her patients' needs and fostering long-term relationships through compassionate and detailed care.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Ralick enjoys spending quality time with her husband and three children. She loves reading, playing pickleball, and cheering on her kids at their extracurricular activities around Northwest Indiana.

Suzanna Acosta, O. D.

Dr. Suzanna Acosta, O.D., hailed from Northwest Indiana and earned her B.S. in Biology from Indiana University Northwest on a full-merit scholarship. She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at Illinois College of Optometry, where she received a scholarship for underrepresented populations. Her clinical externships were completed at the Tallahassee VA Outpatient Clinic, Commonwealth Eye Surgery, and Hoosier Eye Doctor, providing her with a diverse range of experiences.

Dr. Acosta's expertise includes managing ocular diseases such as dry eye and glaucoma, contact lenses, and routine eye care for all ages. She is dedicated to ensuring that each patient fully understands their eye health and refractive needs through thorough and compassionate care.

Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Acosta enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants, and embracing the outdoors.
